Restaurant le GrandOuest

Passing through Bourges for the weekend, we discovered this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. A very warm welcome, a beautiful establishment, and excellent, generous portions.

Good evening, very disappointed with the food and very expensive. The "giant" skewers were basically just six shrimp, not prawns, and fish, with no bland sauce. I don't recommend it at all. Frankly disappointed, I ate better on holiday in La Tremblade and it was less expensive.

We had a very good meal, and it was excellent value for money. The servers were very pleasant! I recommend it.

Only one set menu, on a Saturday, for around €35, a price that doesn't reflect the quality of the meal. It's no longer a traditional restaurant but more like a brasserie. The appetizers are overpriced and served without any accompaniments. There's not much choice on the set menu.

March 2026: A very good evening on Saturday at Grand Ouest. Never disappointed, even though the prices have gone up! I appreciate the warm welcome and the always friendly and relaxed service. There's a good selection and the food is very good. A delicious carpaccio, generous burgers! A sure bet that we love to return to. May 2023: It's always a pleasure to return to Grand Ouest for the friendly staff, the quality of the food, the enticing menu, the modern decor, and the original tableware. A great time with the family.

A very warm welcome 👍 and a fairly spacious dining room that respects the privacy between tables 👌 I wanted a fish paella, but unfortunately it's no longer on the menu... I want to thank the team for making the effort to prepare it for me 👍👍👌👌

The large dining room was deserted at lunchtime because all the customers had been herded to the right-hand side near the windows. The menu has been drastically simplified! It's hard to find the good old menus. Change and modernization are to blame, no doubt! Gone are the little toasts with the aperitif. Nothing to complain about regarding the food, or what's left of it! As a customer for years, I've seen the decline in service with each visit. But this time: it's irreversible! What a shame. Is anyone in charge? In any case, there was neither pilot nor co-pilot today! Note: For an average price of €50 per person, including aperitif and coffee, and one bottle of water.

A roasted Camembert for €18.50, too expensive!!!
