Visited this weekend, excellent restaurant, very good meal, a beautiful and legendary location, and very pleasant staff

Aside from the setting of the former abbey, we were very disappointed with the main thing… the food. Like restaurants with a sea view, if the food isn't up to par… you won't come back. The house aperitif wasn't great, the little amuse-bouches were uninteresting and served with stale, day-old bread. The meat was good, but the rest was a bit skimpy, and for desserts costing 10 euros, you expect something more elaborate. In short, I was really looking forward to coming. What a disappointment! There are surely better brasseries in Bourges. I won't eat here again, even though the hotel is great.

Had evening meal off fixed price menu. Been here a few times before, always welcome and good service and food.

A wonderful time with my children, who surprised me for Father's Day. From the welcome to the service and the food, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this experience. What's more, it was in a splendid and unique setting.

Setting: Charming old stone walls Cuisine: Nutritionally excellent 👍 (no blood sugar spike), quality ingredients... original but not overly so dishes One small drawback: ordering the wrong dish doesn't seem to be an option. The zucchini cream is actually a soup. A customer of foreign origin didn't realize this. The dish wasn't replaced.

The setting is stunning: gardens outside and a restaurant in a former abbey nave. A must-see. Reservations are essential. The service is less than ideal. Aperitifs in the gardens were very slow, even though there were few people. We had to keep asking. The meal was original and tasty, with high-quality dishes, however, the service was sloppy. There was no presentation or explanation of the dishes and cheeses, which is unusual in a region renowned for its gastronomy and cheeses. The bill was steep. Overall, a mixed experience.
